MURAKAMI @ MOCA

Stephen and I checked out the Murakami exhibit today, at the Geffen Contemporary in Downtown L.A. In all, there's over 90 pieces shown, ranging from paintings, projections, sculpture, and film. Really awesome exhibit! Take the video tour, guided by the artist himself, on the MOCA website HERE.

Watching the sky at Griffith Observatory

I've been living in Los Angeles for about 6 years now, and have never been to the Observatory above Griffith Park! What an UNBELIEVABLE view! My partner and I finally took an evening to check it out for ourselves, and what an amazing night. It was very chilly, but the skyline was crystal clear. The perspective from the observatory gives you an unobstructed view of every inch of Hollywood, Downtown LA, all the way past Century City. We peeked thru telescopes, watched twinkling stars, and took in the show at the planetarium. If you haven't been yet, go-go-go! NEW Tattoo!

With two partners in crime at my side, I ventured for my second tattoo today! We took the day with Kevyn Sung at Pure Tattoo in West Hollywood. I really couldn't decide on what I wanted this time around, but was inspired by my love of friendly animated monsters :-) Now, I've got a crazy one-eyed monster living on my left tricep! I have a feeling that I might be adding some crazy little friends for him in the near future.
